Taken July 2004 from London, Gatwick - LGW to Bodrum-Milas - BJV

Both flights were operated using Airbus A321 aircraft. Seats were terribly uncomfortable with very, very little legroom. A complimentary meal was served on both flights, which was not too bad, but any additional drinks or snacks, as with most if not all UK charter airlines, were charged as extras matched with excessively high prices.

Staff were not the friendliest and didn't seem too bothered in delivering excellent customer service as I have experienced on other airlines.

The departure of both flights was delayed. There was no information on the screens at Gatwick advising of a boarding gate or announcements until well after the boarding time stated on the boarding pass, hence delaying departure by around an hour. Departure from Bodrum was also delayed by around half an hour, however lost time was made up for an on-time arrival.

I would certainly avoid Monarch on longer European flights as it is an extremely uncomfortable experience, however when going on a package holiday, you don't really have any choice in the airline and for the price I paid for the holiday I was not too disappointed.
