Taken August 2004 from London, Stansted - STN to Rome - Ciampino - CIA

Outbound flight was onboard one of Ryanair's newer 737-800's EI-DAS which had the updated paint scheme outside and leather seats with safety information stuck to the back of them inside. Crew were all Italian and were very professional and nice on the eye too! After a fast and steep take off the refreshment service commenced with the usual offering of drinks and snacks, and to be fair prices aren't unreasonable for an airline. Flight was bang on time and we landed 20 minutes early into Rome Ciampino with the landing being rather exciting to say the least with the plane making a late turn onto final approach and turning all over the place to correct itself!

Inbound flight was onboard an older Ryanair 737-800 in the older colour scheme with a more traditional interior with cloth seats and real safety cards! Again usual service from the crew who were friendly too. Flight left pretty much on time and despite strong head winds all the way back to Stansted we touched down at our scheduled arrival time. For £80 return, booked a few weeks in advance and during the peak summer period the value for money was quite good, and certainly the cheapest of all the airlines at that time. Ryanair's service suprised me and was better than I expected. Although if there had been a delay or the aircraft went tech I doubt my experience would have been quite so enjoyable.
