Overall I've really liked Jet Blue in the past. Their service has always been pretty good.

FLIGHT TRACKING PROBLEMS:

Lately, two flights my husband and I have had seperately have been severely delayed from JFK. Making matters most difficult for our pick up person was that Jet Blue never updated their flight status on their internet flight tracker or their staff at the Rochester destination. The flight is 50 min long. Both flights were approx 90 min late and yet the Jet Blue site and the airport boards said "On Time".

BIG BAGGAGE CLAIM PROBLEMS:

Also, on my most recent trip coming in from Zurich Switzerland on Swiss I had a major problem with my luggage. Swiss took my baggage at the transfer desk and checked it through to my connecting flight on Jet Blue. This is normally allowed by other airlines such as Continental. Unfortunately, I've now learned that Jet Blue will not accept baggage from any checked in by another airline. I understand that completely EXCEPT that they don't help find it either. Swiss airlines have searched for days. JFK Airport believes Jet Blue has the bag. They say this has happened MANY times in the past where Jet Blue refuses bags so they just sit in their holding area. Jet Blue's response is still "Customer service is our number one priority, but you can't call us. Call Swiss". I even flew back to JFK to search for and pick up the bag. Jet Blue offered no assistance. I believe JB has the "customer service" slogan down better than most other airlines, but pray you never have any luggage problems. They're only good at telling you they're helpful. They don't actually DO anything.
