Taken September 2004 from Sanford, FL (Central Florida Regional Airport) - SFB to Cardiff (Rhoose) - CWL
Return charter for travel city. should have flown 7 sept, but because hurricnan frances flew 10 sept sanford was about the worst crowds we have ever seen could not check in untill six pm I could hear staff saying we have run out of space to store bags is sanford getting to small to handle the number of uk charters. i think our 747 came in emtey from gatwick on time. was called to board, but was held in the walkway for over one hour. I think this was over people having paid to upgrade not getting correct seats. again plane was 747 200 series ex alitalia, but looked very worn no seat back screens reading lights would not work head phones not working a large piece of sharp metel trim by my right foot hanging down. free bar food not bad service could not hear captain or attendents on p a landed at cardiff waited over one hour for bags got car out of car park after another hassle picked wife and bags up then saw our 747 take off for gatwick after being on the ground for over two hours. |
