Home > Monarch > 2004 > ReviewTaken September 2004 from Faro - FAO to Dublin - DUBI Flew on a A300-600 aircraft painted in the new Monarch colours. The flight was delayed by 40mins both on my inbound and outbound flight the previous week. There was no explanation given for the delay. Faro Airport itself is one of the worst airports I've ever been in. Expect long queues everywhere, check in, security search, toilets and passport control. This is the only airport I've ever seen in Europe to have passport control airside, when your going to another EU country. This is a complete waste of time and causes chaos at the airport due to the long queues. Service on board was good. The crew were professional and courteous. There was the usual expensive pay bar service. The in flight meal consisted of a chicken dish and was quite tasty. There was inflight entertainment also, You had to rent the headsets so I didn't bother, but it looked OK. I wouldn't have liked to be on this aircraft for a long flight. I'm 5'9" and found the seats quite cramped, so if your any taller than me I'd recommend you try and book emergency exit seats. All in all, good flights and a good charter airline, I would fly with Monarch again. | ||
