Taken September 2004 from Buenos Aires (Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza/Ministro Pistarini) - EZE to London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGW

Planes: The flight had two parts: EZE-MAD with a B747-200 and MAD-LGW with an MD88.

On board entertainment: The B747 was a 200 series and, although refitted some months ago with the airline's new colors, its interior showed in some aspects its age. For example, the on board entertainment was poor (no private TVs, and some audio channels were not in stereo). There were no entertainment aboard the MD88. In both planes, I found the airline magazine (very good indeed).

Seats: "normally" comfortable in both planes, with good pitch. Nothing especial, but OK.

Meals: Very bad in the EZE-MAD flight. I made a mistake and choose "meat": its was some kind of preparation with little meat and lot of "I don't know". The salad was mad with lot of lettuce and only one slide of tomato. The only thing eatable was the dessert. For the MAD-LGW I found a nice and big ham and cheese sandwich.

Crew: Just normal: not so good, not so bad.

Punctuality: Perfect!

Cabin: very clean. No amenities at the toilets.

Conclusion: Satisfactory. AR was the cheapest alternative for a flight between Argentina and UK during September. The service was what you can expect for the fare you pay.
