Home > British Airways Citiexpress > 2004 > ReviewTaken September 2004 from London, England (City Airport) - LCY to Edinburgh, Scotland - EDIUsing the booking number I was able to log onto the BA website the night before travel and select both my seat number and the boarding cards for both legs. This development at BA has made (for me) a big improvement on the convenience side of air travel as it allows quick movement to the departure lounge. The printed boarding cards are scanned at access control, but have always worked. The walk to the gate at London City was a bit chaotic chaotic as another flight was being boarded and the Edinburgh passengers were asked to squeeze past down the stairs to the gate. Once on board the RJ100 the 3x3 seating and legroom were OK for the 1hour flight. The on-board service was the normal BA fare and the flights were both on time. On my return I visited the BA lounge. My one gripe is that sandwiches are not put out until around 4PM, though the staff kindly gave me some sandwiches when I asked. All in all as good an experience as I have on other domestic carriers, but BA prices (say versus VLM) can be expensive. | ||
