Taken September 2004 from Birmingham, England - BHX to Edinburgh, Scotland - EDI

Arrived at Birmingham Airport about 5 am, no other passengers were at check-in which was great and was surprised to see we were given seq no. 1-6 so must have been the first to check in! Good thing about FlyBE is all seating is allocated which saves the rush at the gate. The girl at the check in didn't look too happy, but then again it was 5 in the morning. Anyway out flight was called and we proceeded to the gate and as our aircraft was off stand we were coached out to the aircraft a very clean looking Dash 8-400.

One of the handling agents came out to the aircraft and informed us that there was a technical fault with one of the over head compartments and that we have to wait on the bus until it had been resolved. About ten minutes later we were told that boarding could start.

We were then greeted by the pleasant senior stewardess and directed to the seats. These planes are very small, but clean and comfortable even the leg room was good for my 6ft frame.

After take off the service commenced and first the trolley came down with the sandwiches and pastries - a bit expensive £4 for a sandwich, followed by the drinks cart - again pricey £1.80 for a cappuccino. The flight attendants then disappeared and were not seen for the rest of the flight until the seat belt signs came on. Some fantastic views of Edinburgh were seen when coming into land followed by a very smooth landing.

In the airport our bags were ready for us as we walked through to the reclaim hall.

A very good flight with flyBE.
