I would strongly recommend anyone considering Zoom to pay a little more and book with another airline. I went backpacking with my friend in Europe for 17 days, and no word of a lie, I did not get my luggage until day 10 of the trip. I couldn't get ahold of Zoom during the weekend to find out the status as they weren't working. They provided me only with a toll free 800 number which only works from North America. Not good for an airline flying internationally. I had to use my credit card to make long distance calls. Finally I called home and asked my family to help me. To make a long story short, (i.e. they shipped my luggage to the wrong airport, couldn't find it, etc.) after 10 days and being in contact with them through my family daily, I got my luggage, but had to drive to the airport myself to get it. It put a serious damper on the trip and so far Zoom has done nothing to apologize or make things right. At this point I don't know how much they are going to reimburse me for calls, internet access to get updates, the fact that I had to drive several hours to pick up my luggage, etc. Zoom dealt with this very poorly and put a serious damper on my holiday. I would not recommend anyone fly with them. Save yourself the tears and frustrations I went through. They are not worth it. I would have gladly paid more for some service. |
