On booking this holiday to Sharm El Sheikh I was worried that we would be flying with Air Scandic as I had flown with them once before and was delayed on the return jouney for 10 hours. However, I went ahead believing that it couldn't happen to me twice.

How wrong was I! We arrived at Manchester airport just after 7.00am to be informed by an overhead monitor on the check-in desk that the flight was delayed until 7.00pm and we were checked in by a very surly and down right rude member of Air Scandic staff who had a very offensive manner about her.

After the longest day of our lives and after countless promises of departure, we finally left Manchester at 12.05am! Once on board things didn't improve. An off the cuff remark (was madeI think it was supposed to be an apology) about the delay. Why they thought 13 hourse sat in Manchester airport was laughing matter I will never know. Also, the landing cards needed to enter Egypt were not onboard and the staff couldn't care less.

Finally, if you are travelling to Egypt, firstly don't fly with Air Scandic and secondly you do not need a visa to enter the country. You only need a visa if you are planning on leaving your resort. For example, if you were staying in Sharm El Sheikh you would only need a visa if you wanted to visit the pyramids at Cairo and a visa is also required to enter the Raas Mohammed National Park.
