Home > Japan Airlines > ReviewTaken October 2004 from Tokyo (Narita) - NRT to Singapore (Changi International Airport) - SINJapan Airlines, Tokyo - Singapore, First Class October 7, 2004. The JAL 1st class cabin in the B 777-300 is only 3 abreast, self contained pods which are not pretty to look at and which lack some elements like pouches for easy storage of magazines or miscellaneous articles. There are several storage boxes which open at the click of a button, but are neither easy to access nor ergonomically designed. Other negatives are the awkward position of the screen and the (relatively) limited movie and video options, compared to Cathay Pacific or Singapore Airlines. On the (very) positive side are the extremely comfortable seat/bed and easy controls, superlative food and wine menus, and extraordinary permanent personal service by attendants, unmatched even by any of the competing best Asian airlines. Altogether, an extremely pleasant experience. | ||
