Home > Olympic > ReviewTaken January 2004 from Athens (Athinai) (Hellinikon International Airport) - ATH to Alexandria - ALYA route I fly at least once a month with OA, so I felt it's about time to right a review. My last flight (just 2 days ago) was typical of most. OA offer dedicated services to its business class passengers including check-in desks and lounges. Due to the late departure of OA327 at 1am, the airport and its facilities were quite empty. Despite the flight being fully packed (one business passenger was downgraded to economy due to a full C class), we managed to depart only 10 minutes late. The business class seats on the 737-400 are very comfortable for this short 1hr 15mins flight. We were given a choice of beef, chicken, fish or vegetarian entrees for dinner, and we offered seconds. Inflight entertainment was lacking, though that was not an issue on such a short flight and I took the opportunity to do some work on board. The flight attendant in our cabin was excellent, but she seemed to find it difficult serving all the business passengers, so I hope the airline introduce a second attendant into the premuim cabin. We managed to arrive into Alexandria at 2am (35mins ahead of schedule). The late arrival into the city was not much of an inconvenience as this beautiful city is awake and busy 24 hours a day. The only major downside to the flight, was the air fare which stood at 970Euros for return C class ticket on a 1hr 15mins flight. Great airline though and I hope them a bright future. | ||
