Taken October 2004 from Athens (Athinai) (Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport) - ATH to New York, NY (John F. Kennedy International Airport) - JFK

Managed to find a really cheap Olympic Airlines ticket on the internet so decided to go visit my friend in the States for a week. As the ticket was business, it meant check in at Athens involved no waiting in line. After checking out the stores, I was able to go relax in OA's executive lounge which was a pleasurable experience.

The plane was an A340-300, really clean interior, nice comfortable seats with a personal TV screen which had many channels showing different movies/short programs. The meals were fantastic both ways. We had lunch about 1 hour after we left Athens and seconds were offered. Another meal was served shortly before landing at JFK. The crew were fantastic, I can't rate them high enough. I'd definately fly with Olympic again.
