Home > Jetsgo > 2004 > ReviewTaken November 2004 from Edmonton, AB (Edmonton International Airport) - YEG to Vancouver, BC (Vancouver International Airport) - YVRJetsgo recently started service from Edmonton to Vancouver - a route which offers many different travel options. I was very skeptical about flying with them after reading previous reviews, but the price was so low, I couldn't refuse. Service at the airport was pathetic. Even though there are not many Jetsgo flights out of Edmonton, it seems that they usually leave around the same time. There was only one person working at check-in and 12 people in front of me. Still, you pay a low price, you expect this sort of thing. The flight itself was a disaster. For a 90 minute flight, we had a 3 hour delay. As I wandered through the terminal, there were at least 7 other flights that departed on time to Vancouver during this period...still, sometimes delays cannot be helped. There was no explanation offered, though, but the woman working the desk didn't seem to know the reason herself, so I can't blame her. It would be nice if the staff were informed, though. Finally, the flight. When we finally took off, I received some of the worst service I have ever experienced. Aside from there not being very much room (not a big deal on a 90 minute flight), the flight attendants and pilot were very abrupt with the passengers. The plane was quite empty (probably only 30% full), but the flight attendants couldn't seem to muster the energy to talk to anybody. There were no updates from the cabin - once again, not that big a deal on a short flight - but when there is heavy turbulence over the Rocky Mountains, it would be nice to have an explanation. Overall, I would say that I got what I paid for. I only paid $30 less than I would have with WestJet, $50 less than Air Canada, though, so I would be much more likely to pay the extra money and get some service. There was no drink service offered with Jetsgo and other companies tend to be much more personable. When there is a lot of competition, you have to be able to offer something special. Jetsgo fails to do this, and I will not be flying with them again in the future. If a 90 minute flight is this bad, I hate to think what a longer haul flight would be like. | ||
