Taken January 2004 from Manchester, England (Ringway International Airport) - MAN to Athens (Athinai) (Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport) - ATH
Departed Manchester to Zurich on a Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft. To be honest, when I first saw this plane in Manchester, I didn't like the look of it. However inside it was quite roomy and the flight was great. Only room for one cabin crew member on board and she seemed more interested in the business class passengers (I assume the first few rows were business) than economy although she did come and do a drinks round followed by duty free. Landed in Zurich early. Swapped onto an A320 flight to Athens. There were in flight TV's that showed the journeys progress as well as commercials "Remember to roam on Sunrise in Switzerland" and the news program of the airline. I was unhappy about having to pay for in-flight refreshment, even water. I ordered a sandwich, a mars bar and a coke light and it came to 9 euro. Very expensive and the sandwich was not nice anyway. Apart from the expensive on-board meal, it was a pleasant flight. |
