Monarch Scheduled's slogan is "How lost cost airlines ought to be". Hear, hear, i'll second that! Only one word can describe both the outbound and return flights - superb!

Having spent the past year trying out the supposedly cheaper bmibaby, easyjet, etc, an £80 return fare from Manchester to Barcelona tempted me to use Monarch again.

And they will be the only airline I use from now on if possible.

Why should anyone have to put up with second rate no-frills services from the budget carriers when you have this as an alternative???

Both flights landed 20 minutes early and were both operated on new, sparkling, clean aircraft.

The in-flight service was what you should expect from an airline. Well presented, friendly and efficient crew. Not wearing tacky t-shirts! Free pre-bookable seats, so no scrum to get on the plane! Free newspapers, free in-flight entertainment, hot towels. OK, the drinks and food are no longer free (boo!) but they are excellent value for money for what you get. I had a five course meal for a fiver coming back!

I've read comments about poor legroom on this site, but I think people must just be fussy because myself and the other people I travelled with experienced no problems with this and it's certainly no worse than other airlines.

I've used Monarch many times in the past and now i've had the experience of other budgets, let me tell you they totally knock the spots off all of them!

They offer quality and value for money at the same time. All the "frills" you should expect, for the same - if not lower - fare.

Forget easyjet, Ryanair and bmibaby. They are all poor excuses for an airline! You don't have to lower yourself to that level! Monarch Scheduled offers a much better product and is just as cheap.

I seriously suggest that anyone travelling to Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga, etc, chooses Monarch over any other airline. You won't be dissappointed.
