Home > African Safari Airways > ReviewTaken December 2004 from London, England (Gatwick Airport) - LGW to MombassaReturned yesterday Dec.11th. Check in quite smooth on both the outward and return journey. I think most people who moan about this airline believe their upgrade to Economy Plus is Club Class. Yes, they had a little extra leg room, but at 31" legroom in Economy is more than the norm. I could view Economy Plus from my seat and their attendant was very professional, smiling and talking to them. Regarding weight allowance, I noted my luggage weight at Gatwick, and returning with lighter luggage giving toiletries etc away on return, knew it would be lighter and was prepared to dispute the weight. The weight of your luggage is displayed for you to see. I saw people with 5 or six items of cabin luggage leaving them with people whilst they checked in so it would not be weighed. Let's not forget it's a safety issue as well! The people I spoke to who had to pay excess duty were fine about it, they knew they were overweight. Regarding not getting upgraded seats, there were a few. My advice is to check with your tour desk at your hotel several days before you fly home. Seats are pre-allocated and not distributed at check in. Don't be put off by negative feedback, I am only doing this review because reading feedback pre-flight made me nervous. Yes the flight is long, yes everyone gets a little uncomfortable, but it's okay. | ||
