Taken December 2004 from Toronto, ON (Lester B. Pearson International Airport) - YYZ to Edmonton, AB (Edmonton International Airport) - YEG
Caught in the Jetsgo fiasco on Dec 23 like 3000 other passengers. Yes there was a storm, but it only delayed the other airlines 30 minutes to 3 hours. My flight was delayed about 12 hours, although they kept informing us it should be "soon", and the overhead displays kept updating to a new departure time (usually the current time). The plane sat there in front of us the whole time, while we called our pickups to tell them we still hadn't left. A passenger on another flight was arrested for yelling at the representative. The Jetsgo terminal ran out of food. There was a complete lack of management, disregard for customers, and malicious misinformation fed to us passengers. The one ground staff that showed up many hours late could not get any decisions out of management, even tried to get the pilots to call their contacts. Nothing worked. He told us that if we wanted to cancel, we had to call the call centre. The call centre wasn't taking calls. Finally boarded the flight at 12 AM, then had to wait another hour and a half. The guy beside me called his pickup at around 2:30, told them he hadn't left the ground yet. I could hear the response at the other end, "what the f***?". |
