2000 Toyota Camry csi review from Australia and New Zealand
"A very reliable car. great!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I went to my dealer for 10k service and felt the car drove not as good as before going for the service and the right front strut rattled a bit after the service. I checked the car myself and found my air filter case full of tree leaf which I cleaned it and the car drives good again. I also found the strut rubber boot torn, but I left it alone and keep driving it and stop going to the dealer again and diy service my car until now and nothing wrong with the car since.
The salesman from the dealer took away my survey form and told me that if he fill in the survey form for me he can win me something from Toyota and my other friends who bought car from him also had the same experience. I believe that he fill in the form which Toyota like to hear, but never know the truth from real customers.
General comments?
Extremely reliable.
Cost me very little to run and maintain (changing oil once a year, transmission fluid every two years and coolant every four years, all DIY. a great save for maintenance).
I check the car last week wanted to change the brake pad and found that the brake pad still like new and its original!!! That is after over 90,000 kilometers.
I did a long trip driving recently from Melbourne to sunshine coast in Queensland and back which is about 6000 kilometers and my car runs perfectly without any trouble, but my two other friends whose cars did break down more than once during the trip.
