1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue GLS review from North America
"Nice at first, but electrical and suspension are bad"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
-Went through tires like crazy.
-Constantly fixing headlight bulbs.
-Ride from backseat was very rough and noisy.
General comments?
I owned a 99 Old Intrigue which I just happily sold. Won't miss it for the world. Bought in 2001 and sold in 2007. Would have sold it sooner had I not been in a money crunch. Originally bought this car because I did get a reasonable deal at $13k and loved that it had Bose sound, alloy wheels, cornered well, leather (cheap) seats, temp control, sunroof.
But:
Tires had to be re-aligned and replaced at least every year and a half. Both front and rear headlights took turns blowing out. I think Oldmobiles must have an issue with the Electrical system because my good friend owns an Alero and same deal with the faulty electricals and my Dad used to have a Bravada that had various electrical problems. It also rode rough - not like a mid-size sedan at all. I won't buy another Olds. I do like the look of the Intrigue though.
