1972 Mazda RX2 review from North America
"Great design and fun car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine blown. This was due to the older 12A Rotarys having weak apex seals. This problem was fixed a few years later.
General comments?
A very fun and fast car! I remember blowing away several BMW 2002s and many other cars. This car was my introduction to Rotary engine cars, and I have never looked back. Currently own a 1988 convertible with an after market turbo on it. I love it too.
