2003 Ford Focus SE Comfot review from North America
"I loved it. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rear drivers side seatbelt kept malfunctioning. When the latch was inserted, it didn't catch. I have two small children so I need the seatbelts for carseat installation. I took it to the dealer and the first time, they said that there was a small piece of plastic stuck in it. Okay, sounds possible, maybe even likely. The very next morning, it happened again. I took it back to the dealer and they said that I wasn't pushing the latch in far enough. Funny, they couldn't get it to work either. They fiddled around with it and got it to work again. Two days later, you guessed it, it happened again. This time the dealer told me that I was handling the latch too roughly. Hello! It's a seat belt. This time they ordered a whole new thingamadoodle and it worked up until I traded the car in.
I had a problem with water leaking from the heating and cooling system, but that was on recall so it was fixed by the dealership free.
General comments?
All in all, I loved my Focus and I would buy another one in a flash.
