1989 Nissan Maxima SE review from UK and Ireland
"Nice face, shame about the gearbox"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Exhaust manifold studs are broken.
Slippage in the automatic transmission.
Both rear window regulators are broken.
General comments?
Superb car. Woeful gearbox. The auto tranny is dreadful and dies after about 100,000.
The rest of the car is superb, offering genuine luxury for not a lot of money. All other aspects of the car are totally reliable and capable of telephone number mileages. Bargain if you can get one.
