1980 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta review from North America
"Easy car for a wanna be wrench head"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Within 1 month I had put 20,000km's on the car and everything fell apart. Alternator, starter, a/c unit, heater core, fuel pump, carb, front disc's, radiator due to bar's leak (don't hate me I didn't know better at the time), heater fan which was grounding and causing electrical problems else where at the same time.
Although I always had something wrong with this car it never left me stranded outside of town like my '04 malibu did.
General comments?
The car was optioned up by a little old lady who used it for highway driving while new and was later used for in city only as she got older. When my boss bought it in 1998 it had only 132,000km's on the clock and was still factory orig. save for a repaint. A/C, pwr windows, brakes, steering, recline drivers seat, cruise, auto, 2.65 rear's, gauge pkg, intermit. wipers, sport cloth seats and door panels, rear defrost, up market cass. with rear speakers, wire wheels and for some reason with rr spoiler delete on the build sheet. Dark clarnet with carmine interior.
Easy to fix, good on gas with room for six.
