1995 Buick Roadmaster limited review from North America

"Not a roadmaster, but a ROADKING sleeper !!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Optispark (opticrap) broke at 158000 km, car wouldn't start, because water pump leaked into it, very costly to repair... read many reports looks like at 100,000 miles they tend to break..

Same time changed spark plugs and wire, not an easy job.. i swore a lot!!

Power steering pump at 149000 km, pretty easy to change.

Heater core at 159000 km.

General comments?

Besides the opticrap it is a wonderful and powerful car with amazing performance.I'm in love with this full frame and almost crash injury proof tank.

With cruise control on highway I have reached 27 miles per US gallons (33 miles per canadian gallon which is 4.55 liters instead of 3.88 liters for US gallon) at 100 KPH (62.5 MPH). I still have friends who can't believe this part, but many of you know it is true!!

I have surprised many imports especially japanese (don't know why, but Acura YO-BOYS likes to race with their tuned cars, I have fun with them!) with this beast on green light and top speed. With a programmer I have unlocked the top speed limiter and reprogram transmission shifts.Don't know exactly how fast it goes.

Have a small boat to haul (2100 lbs.) and it is very easy for this car to pull. Almost not feeling it.

So comfortable my daughter has hard time not to fall asleep in it, have lots of space to spare.

Very good on snow, even better than FWD japcrap since I have posi differential and 3.08 gear, and good set of winter tires on all corners, and above all, HEAVY !. since heater core has been changed, inside, the car heats up very fast even at -30 celsius,
