1999 Mazda B4000 4x4 review from North America
"Two thumbs up: mine and my Dad's!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
None, just routine maintenance things like spark plugs and and brakes.
General comments?
This review is for my Dad's truck. I just went home to visit him and noticed he had a different car in the driveway--a rental car. It turned out a car had sideswiped him and had rolled his truck, and his truck had slid down the road on its side until it finally stopped. It completely totaled the truck, but he had nothing to show for it but a bruised elbow. I guess he got to find out what the 5 star crash test rating was for--the hard way!
So what did he do? Before 1 week had passed, and after surveying the competition, he was back at Mazda ordering a loaded new 2007 B4000, right down to the same colour (except the gold colour has changed a little)! He's picking it up today.
After driving a truck for 8 years, having a major accident in it, and they buying the very same truck again speaks volumes. I don't think there can be a higher review than that. And as for me, I'm just glad he didn't get more hurt than he did.
