1996 Nissan 200SX Touring review from UK and Ireland
"Great value and performance, but slightly dull styling"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel pump failed, leaving the car unable to start.
Rust appearing on rear wheel arches.
General comments?
This car offers very good performance for the money, as well as excellent rear wheel drive handling. Reliability has been very good apart from the fuel pump. The only thing that lets the car down is its dull styling, but a decent body kit and set of larger wheels would improve this a lot.
The car at present (as standard) is in quite a mild state of tune, although it produces 200bhp and is fairly rapid. Several easy modifications can increase this to nearly 300bhp with total reliability.
I would buy another car like this without a doubt, but would not buy an automatic.
