2001 Chevrolet Malibu LS review from North America
"Judging the gas mileage, I think engine was mislabeled a V6; it's a V8 I tell-ya!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Got mine from dealer (75K), drives smooth, no warning lights.
My non-mechanic theory on breaks/rotors fiasco, is: the scraping/squeaky sound one hears when braking, usually means U need new break pads; only in my case, the pads have +50% to go. So if it "sounds bad" all the time, I'll basically get surprised when the pads end & is the rotors stopping the car.
Poltergeist (fresh/re-circle air) buttons?!.. Scary.
General comments?
Very EZ-to-crash car; I'm amazed-& nervous at the same time, at just how jumpy the gas pedal is.
Maybe its just me. but I think the pedals R2 close.
Its EZ on the eyes with nice color options.
For a 6ft guy on such a compact car, Im fairly relaxed in the Malibu.
I'm the 3rd owner (from 75.2K) & I drive it like an old lady; lets see how well it treat me :)
