1987 Hyundai Excel GS review from North America
"Worth the swap"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
1987 Hyundai Excel. Have done my own engine swap using the Mitsubishi 4G63 Turbo engine, with Haltech engine management. Upgraded to Greddy turbo kit and intercooler (Supra). This car is a sleeper! It was worth the work just for the look on a Civic-SI owner's face when the 87 Excel pulls away into the distance. Everything was pretty much bolt-in.
