1989 GMC Safari review from North America
"What a good quality van! Great job GM"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Idler arms went 2 years ago.
2 exhausts in 11 years.
New brakes.
Windshield washer pump needed to be replaced.
Back door lock needed to be replaced, minor things for an 11 year old car.
Runs excellent and has never broken down.
General comments?
Runs excellent has never broken down, has never stalled, always starts easily, great car, would definitely buy another GM.
Myself and my family have driven it to Florida twice (from Ontario, Canada) and from Ontario to PEI 4 times.
OK on gas, but overall minor repairs. My 15 year old son has done all the repairs on it.
It has been driven through all seasons and was my only car for 11 years until a month ago when I finally stepped up to an Oldsmobile Aurora. I still put this van above my Aurora because of its great condition.
