2001 Buick LeSabre Custom review from North America
"Quality has dropped from '91 model"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Headliner falling down (1000 miles). In three times before dealer finally fixed.
New transmission at 26K miles - was 3 months out of 36 month warranty. I ended up paying labor cost only for a 'reman' trans.
Recall for 'possible' future leak at thermostat.
Front passenger window not working.
General comments?
My car before this was a '91 Le Sabre. Never had any major problems (136K miles).
Compared to the '91, this car feels heavy on the front end.
Lots of gadgets (more things to break).
One major improvement is when changing the oil filter. The filter housing is extended so no oil gets on frame during oil change.
Decent 'town' gas mileage (23).
This is my last Buick.
