1987 Holden Commodore VL review from Australia and New Zealand
"Good price, drives like nothing else. Hi-Po icon"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Quite a bit.
Engine and gearbox died on me about a year ago, but all is good now and driving beautifully.
General comments?
Great to drive. The VL Turbo isn't that quick as standard, but it's still pretty impressive.
I fitted a blow off valve and that car sounds wicked, turns every single head. Haven't done many mods mechanically as I'm not willing to spend the money at this point in time. I am probably going to sell the beast soon, and buy something practical, like a Lancer.
I'm sure gonna miss its growling, hissing and shooting people with my blow off valve. hehe. ;)
Great first car, couldn't have asked for anything else. Turbo maaayyttee!!
