1995 Chevrolet Lumina APV review from North America
"Best van I ever had the pleasure of owning"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
As we purchased this car new we had full knowledge of the maintenance.
Van ran beautifully until about 101,000 miles and then transmission went out. Had to have it replaced for $1500.
Water pump was replaced once shortly after that.
Normal maintenance such as tires, brakes, battery and spark plug/wire changes every 100,000 miles.
General comments?
I have never had a vehicle so dependable or driver friendly as this van.
Each time I took it in for plugs/wires or maintenance they laughed about how many miles were on it when I dropped it off and then mentioned how amazed they were at the engine and how well it looked and drove and they would never believe it had close to that mileage if they hadn't seen the odometer themselves.
The van is still running perfectly as we gave it to my sister and bought a Pontiac Montana. Only thing I will say on that note is I truly wish I had kept my Lumina and will never buy another Pontiac.
