1998 Ford Taurus SE review from North America
"I really dislike all of it; not dependable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Tranny is always shaking badly.
When the AC is on the idle, it jumps froms 1 to 2 and rocks the whole car back and forth.
My freeze plug went out and leaked all over the tranny, and cost me 1000.00 to fix.
It feels as though there is no get up and go, and you have to slowly ease on the gas to shift.
My check engine light is always on, and ABS sometimes.
It makes a strange stretching noise when you turn either way.
Now it smells of semi truck exhaust, and makes a loud squeaking noise when you sit in park.
I will NEVER buy a Ford again, I really wish they would recall these cars!!
General comments?
Other than normally wear and tear on a car that age, I really love it's look and comfort.
