2003 GMC Envoy SLT review from North America
"Gmc service is very very poor and I will never buy another gmc"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Steering rack and pinion.
Steering column.
Wiring harness.
General comments?
I was driving our 2003 Envoy on a clear sunny day, I was exiting a parking lot onto a roadway and as I was coming out of a right hand turn I felt the steering wheel grab (like someone was holding onto it) and I had to yank it to the left almost causing a head on collision.
Too shorten the story, I was not surprised to find out the dealership here said the vehicle was unsafe to drive and required work on the steering gear rack and pinion. Also required power steering gear, sir coil and harness. This vehicle only has 71653 k and most are highway driven. I cannot believe such a serious steering problem could occur at such a low odometer reading. Thank God this did not cost us our lives as my wife and 2 sons. I was shocked to find out the bill for all this work was not covered at all by GM. Total $2826.19
Work done by Ron Hodgson Pontiac Buick GMC in St. Albert.
