1999 Nissan Maxima GLE review from North America
"I love my car and would highly recommend it to anyone"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Soon after it hit 99k miles, I had to replace the MAF sensor ($100.00 part on ebay, service free due to marriage vows). My research indicates that this is a very common problem on this model. The person I bought this from on ebay has sold about 25 sensors in the past 2 months.
I also have codes for ignition delay and O2 sensor. This is also very common on this model and I will replace once they start causing problems.
I replaced the starter at around 80k miles.
General comments?
I love this car. This is my second Maxima and I would still be driving the first one, but it was totaled.
I love the look and feel of the Maxima. It is beautiful and has great pick up.
I do have to use high octane gas, but the gas mileage is great so I still come out ahead.
