2004 Renault Clio review from Australia and New Zealand
"Renault Clios... unreliable to say the least!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
6 months into having the car the air con cuts out on a 40 degree day! Took it into the service dealership and was told that a few renault clios had been recalled for issues with the TDC sensor and ignition coils... thanks for letting me know earlier!! Air conditioning had to be regassed.. mind you this took 3 visits to the service dealership for them to actually locate the the leak, then they got the wrong part in... frustrating to say the least! Car seemed to be fine until around 8 months later when sitting at the lights in traffic, engine cuts out! 'Stop' warning light comes on as well as the Battery charging warning light'. Car will restart, but it makes me wonder how long my luck will last. This has now happened around 8 times! Have taken the car back to renault and guess what they can't find the problem!! Its driving me to distraction, if anyone has experienced this and they know how to fix it please let me know!!
