2006 Toyota Hi-lux DX review from Costa Rica
"Nice looking slow truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Strange noise (hit) coming from rear differential when starting from 0. Have sent the car 3 or 4 times to dealer and still unfixed. Going to have to live with it.
Strange noise coming from dash, unfixed. Haven't sent it to the dealer.
General comments?
Good interior room space, seems to be reliable, but lacks power.
Have put in ego problems in the past due low output. Very cheap interior, all plastic.
No ABS, no airbags, and don't even think about EBD or something similar.
Paid 31.000 US$ for it. Bottom line is the truck is a truck, and nothing more than that. Built in Argentina; I will have to wait some years to see its reliability.
Good looking.
The L200 seems more powerful and cheaper, and is Japanese built, but at the end Toyota is Toyota, and this assures you some quality.
