What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought the car with a clunk in the steering. I took it into my mechanic; he checked out everything he could that could be wrong with it. He said nothing was wrong, and the intermediate steering shaft (ISS) was fine.
Other than that problem, the front rotors need to be turned and or replaced.
After they found nothing wrong with the ISS, I had them replace the coolant.
The previous owner said they just had the intake manifold problem fixed at around 67k miles.
General comments?
I love this car; it gets great gas mileage.
The interior was a huge mess, so I got some OXY power out, and the whole interior turned out great.
The car is gold, and has tan interior with after market tinted windows. It looks really sleek.
My previous vehicle was an 1987 Chevrolet C-10 pick-up. With that car I got 10mpg in the city and 12mpg freeway. The mileage on this car is awesome; I am averaging 18-20 in the city and 28 freeway.
I really like all the bells and whistles this car has on it, and it has an astronomical amount of space in the car and in the trunk.
My mom likes my car more than her 2001 Honda Accord. This car handles nicely, but it's not a sports car. It does a good job at what it is made to do, gets me from point A to point B.
