1993 Geo Metro XFI review from North America
"Stop reading and buy one, or two, today"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I replaced the brakes at 95,000 miles. No other issues.
General comments?
I have rust on the front of the hood. I presume a small rock hit it and the rust grew from there. Great car. Consistent 45 miles per gallon. At 55-60 mph for long distance I will get 50+ mpg. I only paid $1,500 for the car.
I managed a fleet of these cars for NYC deliveries. They all hit over 200,000+ miles. Even with company drivers beating the heck out of them, plus NYC bad roads, the Geo Metro XFI held up extremely well.
I don't know why they stopped making them.
