1987 Mitsubishi Mighty Max review from North America
"Good reliable pickup!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing wrong! But it is true that it has not enough power for high speed and mountain driving.
General comments?
Very good gas mileage for a normal driving, and it still goes about 28 miles per gallon on its original engine with current 250,000 miles on this 1987 Truck (20 years old)! Fairly trouble free, and no major problems. Well, it is not for a lady to drive, and it is not for a young man to drive. If you are a good driver, this truck can go forever!
Yes, it is also true. This is a slow truck, but it is very reliable. In a matter of fact, my Mighty Max is far more reliable than my Toyota Camry.
I have a Toyota Camry, fairly new (1992), it's milege is only about 160,000 miles, but everything is falling down!
Costs me thousand and thousand dollars to fix it!
My Mighty Max only cost me about $50 per year to maintain it! It can drives to New York from San Francisco, go for many circles around all 50 states, again and again, and it still runs forever.
But, it does go slow, especially driving in mountains!
