2001 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 review from North America
"I would never buy a Jaguar. It is an expensive car and you expect good quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
After driving my car for 2000 miles I had to take it to the dealer for a check engine light. It took me 3 more visits to get the car fix.
The first year, I made several complains due to squeaky noises coming from the front brakes, soon after 10,000 mile, I was told to replace the brakes spend $1,200
At 22,000 miles took the car back for a fuel tank replacement
At 43,000 miles car overheated (towed) due to a faulty thermostat
The front speaker no longer works, I will cost me $900 to replace speaker.
At 56,900 miles had to replace my transmission $ 5600 to fix.
General comments?
There are so many complains about Jaguar Transmissions, this is safety issue.. Honda had a similar incident a few years back with less complains and offered a Voluntary Transmission Recall to Certain Honda and Acura Automobiles.
