2002 Lexus ES300 review from North America
"Over-priced Camry with ADHD, Never Again"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The transmission sucks it either has ADHD or some other personality disorder.
Paint SUCKS, an acorn can fall of the tree and scratch the black cherry finish.
Steering column groans.
Body creaks and pops.. especially the sunroof.
Gas mileage is terrible for a car this size.
New key - $194.
Did I mention the transmission SUCKS!
General comments?
Rides like a Buick, drinks premium fuel like a Hummer. Our 4-cylinder 2007 Camry runs circles around it.
Save yourself the extra $20 grand and buy a Camry XLE with leather.
We were so excited and expected Toyota quality and boy were we disappointed. This car is highly over-rated.
The transmission is actually scary, surges when you first push the gas and then can never make up its mind as to what gear when you call upon it to downshift and when it does its neck snapping and there is nothing smooth about it ever. It is like a child with attention deficit disorder.
