2000 Hyundai Elantra GLS Sedan review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had four failed windows. The plastic piece of the auto window panel breaks. The driver side window panel was replaced by the warranty (a week before it expired). I replaced one myself because they wanted to charge me almost $450 to do it at the dealership. Now I have two broken again, including my drivers side window again. I really wish they would recall these windows. I was told they made a new window panel on car models that followed so they must know they have a problem. I was told by the dealer that the panels are expensive because they changed the panel's design and took out the plastic piece. This makes no sense-why can't they sell us the newer panels? I would love manual windows at this point. I love my car in all other circumstances, but I would not recommend anyone buy Hyundai, and wouldn't buy Hyundai again myself, because of this problem and the company not stepping up and taking care of this very obvious problem!
