1994 Ford Explorer xlt review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
After about the first 3 weeks of purchase we got a big snow storm excited, I put it in 4x4 backed out of the drive way and got stuck. I don't know what the problem is, it says it is in 4x4 but it isn't, I push the button to shut it off, that don't work. It needs all new ball joints and a wheel bearing, leaf spring shackles rusted out and one is currently resting upon the frame.
General comments?
When I first got it, everything worked great!
It runs great, and has been very fast for me!
