1990 Mitsubishi Magna Elite TP review from Australia and New Zealand
"Reliable and safe if it is well maintained"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Camber is out after hitting a kerb, causing the steering wheel to turn anti-clockwise a bit even on a stright level road.
Thermostat is stucked in the 'open' position, need to drive the car 10mins to get it warmed up.
Paint work is terrible if you leave it out under the sun. The paint on the bonnet and boot is completely fade to the point that it has to be re-painted.
The other major thing that is bad is, it uses a lot of fuel, I can only get around 6-7km per litre.
General comments?
People say they are a piece a crap, but there are still so many magnas (TM, TN & TP) on the road!!
However, it is hard to find one that is properly maintained. Mine has done more than 300000kms, but still relatively powerful and handles reasonably well, given the car's age.
TP Elite are equipped with lots of options: digital dashboard, alloy wheels, 4 wheels disc brake, cruise control, 4 spd auto, steering wheel radio control.
And the seats are extremely comfortable.
