1995 Dodge Neon Sport 4dr review from North America
"For five bills... not bad"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought this car for $500, drove it for a month or two, and then flipped it for $1900.
The only issues with the car were:
Oil leaks.
FM didn't work on radio.
Tape deck did not work period.
Exhaust system failed several times between cat and downpipe, causing minor CO poisoning to myself.
Exhaust cost $600 to fix because warranties covered repeat repairs - finally fixed before I sold it.
General comments?
Slow, nice looking, but horribly slow with the three speed automatic.
Handling was decent, given the amount of kilometers on the car, and it parked easily.
Braking was marginal and even though the pads on the car were newer, pulsation and shimmy were often the result (I am aware the car had ABS, but there is no way it should kick in that indiscriminately)
It always started.
The aluminum wheels were also a nice touch.
And that is all I'm going to say about that.
