1999 Ford Taurus review from North America
"No my god!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1999 ford taurus brakes- front and back pads and rotors replaced.
(rear) wheel cylinders also had to be replaced after going out while driving with my infant in the car. (they are also almost impossible to bleed).
Heat has not worked since one week after I bought the car. Blows out luke warm on the lowest level of fan. Also burps all the fluid out if I run the car with the resevoir cap off. Then heat blows out for one second-stops again. Possible heater core. Cannot afford to fix with owing 4,000 on car still.
Water pup is leaking now.
Struts/ shocks bad.
Eats gas like #%@$
General comments?
I have never owned a ford vehicle before- I never will again. This car is actually comfortable, but it is not worth the repairs. I have had beaters for years that I have done only oil changes on (Chevys).
Heard this model has serious coolant/heater system failures and brake problems- I can attest to that!
