1998 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
"Run -- don't walk -- away from this car. Useful only as an extremely large paperweight."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission: Went into limp-in mode, had to replace part of transmission.
Oil light flickered. Oil checked and full, two weeks later, bone dry and engine shut down with bearings problem due to oil problem. Had to junk it for $250.
Only got about 6,000 miles out of the car.
General comments?
I bought it for $1,000 which seemed like a deal for a 8 year old car with <75K on it... but it wasn't worth that. It's a nice-looking, comfortbable piece of junk. If you do your research, you'll see that many of these Intrepids have oil problems that lead to major engine damage. Do NOT buy one! Run -- don't walk -- away!
