2000 Lincoln LS review from North America
"Looks great, I've been told by different dealer repair shops,"Lincolns are expensive to fix" Mine is"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Within past 6 months: Heating coil, I don't know what that is, but it cost (900 labor, 95 part), a lot of white smoke coming from engine close to driver dash. Going through my second round of regulators. First set replaced while under warranty, just recently the both front gave out. ($300) Recent issues with coils, after replacing 3 coils, I told dealer to check for a leak, indeed there was a leak, and had to change another coil. ($1190) Right after getting my car back, I could smell oil burning, I waited a month just to be sure and now there is smoke coming from the engine. I was told today it might be an issue with the oil pan. I also had issue with airbag light. I hear something with the front suspension, but the oil issue is a priority. I thought FORD might have recalls on these common issues? Dealer said there are no recalls! If we all are having the same issue, shouldn't there be?
General comments?
I love the body style, not very impressed with recent events. I'm at 65k, I had a Nissan that went up to 145k with no problems at all!
